This offwhite paper is manufactured in Japan from kozo, one of the strongest natural plant fibers used in papermaking. Although lightweight, Mulberry is strong enough to take considerable pressure from a hand printing press without concern for cracking or tearing. The sheet has a very subtle laid, chain line pattern and the handmade sheet is especially soft with very little surface sizing.
